Welcome to Southway Junior School. We are a thriving, larger than average school in Burgess Hill with approximately 360 pupils on roll.

We place great value on outdoor learning and we are fortunate to have a large pond with a purpose built bird hide, a market garden, fruit trees, an adventure playground, a tyre park and an outdoor classroom.

Our focus on each individual child is at the centre of everything we do, so that every child achieves their potential and all strengths are identified and valued. We strive to work in partnership with parents, governors and pupils to create lifelong learners, giving our children the skills that they will need to be motivated and independent learners throughout their lives.

Our school is a very happy, creative and stimulating environment, where children flourish academically, socially, spiritually, morally, artistically and physically. Pupils love learning through our rich, creative and exciting curriculum, which they are actively involved in planning and adapting, according to their own interests and needs.
